Biography.
I grew up in Darlington in the North East of England. As a child I was a very keen Gymnast and Swimmer and from the age of 10 to 16 I learned Karate up to the level of Brown belt. At the age of 23 I attended Liverpool John Moors University to study Fine Art specialising in Art Installation and Performance. It was during my time at collage that I started practicing Yoga and Meditation.
I visited India for 3 months in the summer of 1991 and 1992 continuing my research and study of Yoga and Meditation. I graduated from my Fine Art Ba Hons in 1993 after which time I moved to London and developed a Freelance career in Stage Set design and construction for Film Theatre and TV.
My interest in Movement and Meditation lead me to a study of Chinese Qi Gong Yoga. I started teaching Qi Gong Yoga part time in 1998, around this time a came across the work of Ken Wilber and his ideas about long term Integral Transformation Practice.
In 1999 I started an in-depth study Diploma in Wudang Tai Chi Kung Fu. In 2003 I started a 4-year Diploma training in The Feldenkrais Method. I received permission to teach Wudang Tai Chi Kung Fu from Sifu Dan Docherty in 2004 and became qualified to teach Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes and Feldenkrais Functional Integration one to one remedial bodywork in 2007.
