The Feldenkrais Method has two aspects first, Functional Integration (FI) includes one to one remedial bodywork, posture and awareness re-centering and re-education.

The second aspect of The Feldenkrais Method is Awareness Though Movement (ATM). Which sometimes resembles easy yoga, or meditation in movement. Feldenkrais ATMs are the cutting edge of intelligent exercise for busy people. *

The Feldenkrais Method is excellent for relieving stress, chronic tension or repetitive strain; it is a movement, awareness and posture education system that allows people to connect with the body's innate ability to organise itself . This can be particularly pertinent in relation to corporate working environments, where people are more susceptible to repetitive strain injuries.

The Method uses gentle versions of the principles that are present in Yoga, Pilates, Judo and the Alexander Technique. Students work with in their own range of easily available movement.

The Method was created by Dr Moshe Feldenkrais who was a Judo teacher, physicist and movement educationalist, who took the most intelligent aspects of exercise and incorporated them in his own unique way into the Feldenkrais Method.

Moshe Feldenkrais taught Awareness Through Movement to groups and Functional integration to individuals from 1945 until his death in 1985. During his lifetime the benefits of the method became known internationaly by dancers, actors, musicians, politicians and sports people especially in countries such as Germany, Israel and France. In Germany Feldenkrais is recognised as complimentary training for Physiotherapists.

Having established an excellent reputation in the areas of music dance and acting in resolving posture, movement and awareness problems. The corporate world is just waking up to the potential benefits of the Feldenkrais method.

There have been a number of Feldenkrais research programs to asses the needs of people working in demanding corporate office environments. The Feldenkrais Method develops both internal and external intelligent awareness.

As ease of movement, awareness and intelligent organisation is cultivated the individual is more attuned to integration within and with the wider environment.

Thus absenteeism is reduced and creating a more productive co-operative working environment. Working from the inside out, individual wellness leads to a more effective corporate culture.
